Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 4 cup Cream cheese
  • 0.25 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Jam or preserves (your choice of flavor)
  • 0.25 cup Chopped nuts (optional)
  • 0.25 cup Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt until a dough forms. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a disk. Wrap each disk in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out one disk of dough into a circle about 1/8 inch thick. Spread a thin layer of jam or preserves over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
  4. Cut the dough into 8 wedges. Starting from the wide end, roll up each wedge tightly and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough.
  5. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow the rugelach to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. Once cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve and enjoy!
