Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a square baking dish.

In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas.

In a separate bowl, cream the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
