  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar, packed
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 1 cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in the egg, pumpkin puree, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts (if using).
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a greased or lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
