Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour 9x5 inch loaf pans.

In a large bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, eggs, and sugar until well blended. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and mix until just blended. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pans and smooth the top. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
