Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Active dry yeast
  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Baking soda
  • 4 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Coarse salt
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted butter
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. In a large pot, bring water and baking soda to a boil.
  7. Divide the dough into small pieces and roll them into bite-sized balls.
  8. Drop the dough balls into the boiling water and let them cook for 30 seconds.
  9. Remove the dough balls from the water using a slotted spoon and place them on a greased baking sheet.
  10. Melt the butter and brush it over the dough balls. Sprinkle coarse salt on top.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Let the pretzel bites cool for a few minutes before serving.
