Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a medium bowl, mix together melted butter, brown sugar, flour, and chopped pecans. Press into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch pan.

Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine corn syrup, brown sugar, butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat and pour over the baked crust.

Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
