Ingredients
  • 500 gram Potatoes
  • 200 gram Gruyere cheese
  • 300 ml Heavy cream
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly.
  3. Rub a baking dish with garlic and butter.
  4. Layer the potato slices in the dish, sprinkling each layer with salt, pepper, and grated Gruyere cheese.
  5. Continue layering until all the potatoes are used.
  6. Pour the heavy cream over the potatoes.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.
  9. Let the gratin rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
