Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Grease a popover pan or muffin tin with butter.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs.

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth.

Melt the butter and pour it evenly into the popover pan or muffin tin.

Place the pan in the preheated oven for 5 minutes.

Carefully remove the pan from the oven and pour the batter into each cup, filling them about 3/4 full.

Bake for 20 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the popovers are golden brown and puffed.

Remove from the oven and let the popovers cool for a few minutes before serving.
