Ingredients
  • 2 cup Rice
  • 3 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Raisins
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • as needed for dusting Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the rice, milk, sugar, butter, and vanilla extract. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender and the mixture thickens, about 20 minutes.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Gradually add the beaten eggs to the rice mixture, stirring constantly.
  4. Stir in the raisins and cinnamon.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cake is set.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
  9. Cut into slices and serve.
