Ingredients
  • 2 sheet Puff pastry sheets
  • 16 ounce Canned pineapple chunks
  • 2 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 beaten Egg
  • 2 tablespoon Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine the pineapple chunks, brown sugar, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut into squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of the pineapple filling in the center of each square. Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and seal the edges with a fork.
  5. Brush the turnovers with beaten egg and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Allow the turnovers to cool for 10 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
