Ingredients
  • 500 gram Potatoes
  • 200 gram All-purpose flour
  • 1 piece Egg
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 50 gram Butter
  • 100 gram Sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
Instructions
  1. Boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and mash.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, flour, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut into circles.
  5. Place a spoonful of filling (such as cheese, sauerkraut, or mushrooms) on each circle.
  6. Fold the circle in half and seal the edges.
  7. Boil the perogies in salted water until they float to the surface.
  8. Drain the perogies and set aside.
  9. In a frying pan, melt butter and sauté onions until golden brown.
  10. Add the perogies to the pan and fry until crispy.
  11. Serve hot with sour cream.
