  • 1 small Red Onion
  • 2 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1/4 cup Pecans
  • 1/2 cup Blue Cheese
  • 8 slices Baguette
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, combine pears, red onion, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, and ginger. Cook over medium heat until pears are tender and mixture thickens, about 15 minutes.
  2. In a separate pan, toast pecans over medium heat until fragrant, about 5 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush baguette slices with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Toast in the oven until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
  4. Spread the pear chutney on each toasted baguette slice. Top with crumbled blue cheese and toasted pecans.
  5. Serve as an appetizer or snack.
