Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).

In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch (23 cm) springform pan.

In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, peanut butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Stir in the chocolate chips. Pour the mixture over the crust in the springform pan.

Bake for 60 minutes or until the center is set. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.

In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until melted and smooth.

Pour the chocolate ganache over the chilled cheesecake.
