Ingredients
  • 8 slice Stale Bread
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 cup Vegetable Broth
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Grated Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh Herbs (such as parsley or thyme)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the vegetable broth and bring to a simmer.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, grated cheese, salt, black pepper, and fresh herbs.
  5. Tear the stale bread into large pieces and add them to the skillet. Stir until the bread absorbs the liquid.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the bread mixture, ensuring all the bread is soaked.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  9. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
