Ingredients
  • 500 gram Potatoes
  • 250 gram All-purpose flour
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 4 tablespoon Sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
Instructions
  1. Boil the potatoes until tender, then mash them.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, flour, and salt. Knead until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out circles using a round cookie cutter.
  4. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté the chopped onion until golden brown.
  5. Place a spoonful of the potato filling onto each dough circle, fold in half, and pinch the edges to seal.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the pierogies until golden brown on both sides.
  7. Serve hot with sour cream and sprinkle with pepper.
