Ingredients
  • 3 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Active dry yeast
  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 cup Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add olive oil, chopped onion, poppy seeds, salt, and sugar to the yeast mixture. Stir well.
  3. Gradually add flour and mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
  8. Place the loaf on a greased baking sheet and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool before slicing.
