Cut the bread into cubes.

In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.

Add the bread cubes and raisins to the bowl, and gently stir until the bread is evenly coated.

Grease a baking dish with butter.

Dot the top of the bread pudding with small pieces of butter.
