Ingredients
  • 3 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Raisins
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 large Egg
Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and cinnamon. Mix well.
  2. Add raisins and mix again.
  3. In a small saucepan, heat milk, water, and butter until warm (about 110°F/43°C).
  4. Pour the warm milk mixture into the flour mixture and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest for 2 hours.
  6. After 2 hours, the dough should have doubled in size. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and shape it into a rectangle.
  8. Roll up the dough tightly, starting from one of the long sides, into a log.
  9. Place the log into a greased loaf pan.
  10. Cover the loaf pan with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  11. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the risen dough.
  12. Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown.
  13. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  14. Transfer the bread to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
