Ingredients
  • 1 cup Popcorn kernels
  • 4 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C). Pop the popcorn kernels using your preferred method.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Cook until the mixture reaches a boil, then let it boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the baking soda and vanilla extract. The mixture will become foamy.
  4. Pour the caramel sauce over the popped popcorn and toss until the popcorn is evenly coated.
  5. Spread the caramel-coated popcorn onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even baking.
  7. Remove the caramel corn from the oven and let it cool for 30 minutes to allow the caramel to harden.
  8. Once cooled, break apart any large clumps and serve.
