Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup Milk
  • 3 tablespoon Cocoa powder
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch (23 cm) cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients.
  5. Divide the batter into two equal portions. In one portion, mix in the cocoa powder.
  6. Spoon alternating dollops of the vanilla and chocolate batters into the prepared cake pan. Use a skewer or knife to create a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
