  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • 1 cup Butternut Squash, cooked and mashed
  • 0.5 cup Chopped Walnuts
  • 0.5 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Whipped Cream

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the mashed butternut squash, chopped walnuts, and chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pie dish and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for 30 minutes.
  10. Serve slices of the pie with a dollop of whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings.
