Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into cubes.

In a large pot, boil the sweet potatoes until tender.

Drain the sweet potatoes and transfer them to a mixing bowl.

Add butter, brown sugar, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt to the sweet potatoes.

Mash the mixture together until smooth.

Sprinkle pecans and marshmallows on top.
