Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup Chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Pecans
  • 1 cup Whipped cream
  • to taste for garnish Chocolate shavings
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and butter together.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add the melted chocolate mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract. Add this to the chocolate mixture and stir until combined.
  6. Fold in the pecans.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased pie dish.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow the pie to cool for 2 hours.
  10. Serve with whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish.
