Ingredients
  • 2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup Molasses
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Raisins
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it comes to a simmer.
  3. In a bowl, combine the cornmeal, molasses, sugar, butter, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and salt. Gradually whisk in the hot milk.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and sprinkle the raisins on top.
  5. Bake for 1 hour, or until the pudding is set and golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 30 minutes before serving.
