Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 cup Chopped nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts)
  • 1 cup Dried fruit (e.g., raisins, cranberries)
  • 1 beaten Egg
  • 2 tablespoon Water
  • to taste for dusting Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour and butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  2. Add the honey, chopped nuts, and dried fruit to the bowl and mix well.
  3. Gradually add the beaten egg and water to the mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.
  5. Roll out each dough ball into a circle approximately 6 inches in diameter.
  6. Place a spoonful of the nut and fruit mixture onto one half of each dough circle.
  7. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal.
  8. Place the empanadas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Allow the empanadas to cool for 10 minutes before dusting with powdered sugar.
  11. Serve and enjoy!
