Ingredients
  • 2.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the milk, egg, and melted butter together.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pot or fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the doughnuts from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  7. Roll the warm doughnuts in powdered sugar.
  8. Let the doughnuts rest for 1 hour before serving.
