Ingredients
  • 2 pound Potatoes
  • 4 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour until smooth. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese until melted. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  5. Layer half of the potato slices in a greased baking dish. Pour half of the cheese sauce over the potatoes. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and cheese sauce.
  6. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let the scalloped potatoes rest for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
