Slice the French bread loaf in half lengthwise.

In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, basil, oregano, salt, and black pepper.

Spread the garlic herb butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the buttered bread.

Place the bread halves on a baking sheet and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
