  2. Add flour and salt to the bowl and mix until a dough forms.

  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into 6 equal portions.
  7. Roll each portion into a long rope and shape it into a heart shape.
  8. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add baking soda.
  9. Carefully place each pretzel into the boiling water for 30 seconds, then remove and transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
