Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoon Cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Chopped hazelnuts
  • 12 pieces Rolo candies, unwrapped
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chopped hazelnuts.
  5. Take about 1 tablespoon of dough and flatten it in your hand. Place a Rolo candy in the center and wrap the dough around it, sealing it completely. Repeat with the remaining dough and candies.
  6. Place the cookie dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
