Ingredients
  • 4 medium Apples
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cup Quick oats
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.75 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the apples, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, quick oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a small bowl, beat the egg and vanilla extract. Add to the flour mixture and mix well.
  5. Press half of the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the crust. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the apples.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
