Ingredients
  • 300 gram Broccoli
  • 300 gram Cauliflower
  • 200 gram Carrots
  • 150 gram Gruyere cheese
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Prepare the vegetables by cutting the broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots into bite-sized florets and slices.
  3. Steam the vegetables until they are tender but still slightly crisp.
  4. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the flour and cook for another minute.
  6. Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps.
  7. Continue cooking and stirring until the sauce thickens.
  8. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 100 grams of grated Gruyere cheese until melted.
  9. Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
  10. In a baking dish, combine the steamed vegetables and the cheese sauce.
  11. Sprinkle the remaining 50 grams of grated Gruyere cheese on top.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  13. Let the dish rest for 10 minutes before serving.
