Ingredients
  • 2 cup Grits
  • 4 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tablespoon Butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 cup Green onions, chopped
  • 4 slices Bacon, cooked and crumbled
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large saucepan, bring the milk to a boil.
  3. Slowly whisk in the grits and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese, melted butter, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then add them to the grits mixture. Stir until fully incorporated.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and sprinkle with chopped green onions and crumbled bacon.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow the casserole to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
