Ingredients
  • 110 gram Butter
  • 150 gram Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Molasses
  • 1 unit Egg
  • 250 gram All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 2 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 50 gram Granulated Sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the molasses and egg.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and then roll each ball in the granulated sugar.
  7. Place the balls on a baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until set and slightly cracked.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  10. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
