  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil
  • for dusting Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and egg.
  3. Gradually add the milk mixture to the flour mixture, whisking until smooth.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium heat.
  5. Pour the batter into a funnel or squeeze bottle, and carefully drizzle it into the hot oil in a circular motion.
  6. Fry until golden brown, flipping once, about 2 minutes per side.
  7. Remove the funnel cakes from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
