Ingredients
  • 500 gram Onions
  • 50 gram Butter
  • 2 teaspoon Olive oil
  • 2 teaspoon Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 piece Baguette
  • 200 gram Gruyere cheese
Instructions
  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onions and cook until caramelized.
  2. Stir in brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill.
  4. Slice the baguette into 4 equal pieces and cut each piece lengthwise.
  5. Place the baguette slices on the grill and toast until lightly browned.
  6. Remove the baguette slices from the grill and top each slice with caramelized onions.
  7. Sprinkle gruyere cheese over the onions.
  8. Place the sandwiches back on the grill and cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
