  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries
Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in the fresh strawberries.
  5. Grease a steamer basket or line it with parchment paper.
  6. Pour the batter into the steamer basket, filling it about 3/4 full.
  7. Steam the bread over medium heat for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove the bread from the steamer and let it rest for 10 minutes.
