Financiers Recipe
Financiers are traditional French tea cakes that were originally made by nuns in the Financier district of Paris. They are named after the wealthy bankers who frequented the area and enjoyed these delicious treats.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 45 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 8.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a financier mold.

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until it turns golden brown and gives off a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let it cool.

In a large bowl, whisk together almond flour, powdered sugar, all-purpose flour, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until frothy. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg white mixture, stirring until just combined.

Slowly pour in the cooled browned butter, stirring until well incorporated.

Pour the batter into the prepared mold and sprinkle the sliced almonds on top.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the financiers are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let them cool in the mold for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
