Ingredients
  • 10 ounce Fig
  • 2 tablespoon Sesame seeds
  • 4 ounce Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 unit Egg
  • 1.5 cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cardamom
  • 1 tablespoon Orange zest
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoon Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, ground cardamom, and a pinch of salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and orange zest.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Press the dough into a greased tart pan and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  7. In the meantime, cut the figs into quarters.
  8. Remove the tart pan from the refrigerator and arrange the figs on top of the dough.
  9. Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the figs.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  11. While the tart is baking, prepare the cardamom orange cream by whisking together the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  12. Serve the fig and sesame tart with a dollop of cardamom orange cream.
