  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Wash and trim the rhubarb, then cut it into 2cm pieces.
  3. Place the rhubarb in a baking dish and sprinkle with sugar.
  4. Crush the cardamom pods and sprinkle the seeds over the rhubarb.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, butter, demerara sugar, and ground almonds.
  6. Rub the mixture together with your fingers until it resembles breadcrumbs.
  7. Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the rhubarb.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the crumble is golden and the rhubarb is tender.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  10. Serve warm with ice cream or custard.
