Ingredients
  • 2 teaspoon Espresso
  • 1 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoon Kahlua liqueur
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoon Heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a mini muffin pan.
  2. In a small bowl, dissolve the espresso in 2 tablespoons of hot water.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In a large bowl, melt the butter and then stir in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin pan, filling each cup about 3/4 full.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. In a small bowl, combine the Kahlua, powdered sugar, butter, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  11. Transfer the Kahlua buttercream to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  12. Once the brownie bites are completely cooled, pipe a small dollop of Kahlua buttercream on top of each bite.
  13. Serve and enjoy!
