Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt
  • 1/4 cup Warm water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and yogurt. Mix well.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rest for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 500°F (260°C) or preheat a grill.
  6. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and roll each part into a tear-shaped naan.
  7. Place the naan on a greased baking sheet or grill and bake/grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Brush the naan with oil or ghee while it's still warm.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
