Ingredients
  • 2 sheet Puff pastry sheets
  • 8 ounce Almond paste
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 unit Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Almond extract
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out one puff pastry sheet into a rectangle and place it on a baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, combine almond paste, powdered sugar, egg, and almond extract until well mixed.
  4. Spread the almond paste mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
  5. Roll out the second puff pastry sheet and place it on top of the almond mixture. Press the edges to seal.
  6. Brush the top of the pastry with beaten egg.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 15 minutes before cutting into bars.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
