  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.75 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup Crushed peppermint candies
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candies.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
