Dagmar’s Orange Cake
Orange cakes have been enjoyed for centuries and are believed to have originated in Spain during the Moorish occupation.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a round cake pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the orange zest.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the orange juice and milk.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
