  • 250 gram All-purpose flour
  • 125 gram Butter
  • 100 gram Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 50 gram Currants
  • 50 milliliter Milk
  • 50 gram Icing sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, butter, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon. Rub the mixture together with your fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs.
  3. Stir in the currants and milk until a dough forms.
  4. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of about 1 cm.
  5. Use a round cookie cutter to cut out circles from the dough and place them onto a baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Allow the Godcakes to cool slightly before dusting with icing sugar.
