Cinnamon rolls are believed to have originated in Sweden and are often enjoyed with a cup of coffee.

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.

In a small saucepan, heat milk and butter until butter is melted. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Add the milk mixture and egg to the flour mixture. Stir until a soft dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle.

In a small bowl, mix together cinnamon and brown sugar. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the dough.

Starting from one long side, tightly roll up the dough. Cut into 12 equal pieces.

Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake the rolls for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

In a small bowl, mix together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and water to make the glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls.
