Cinnamon rolls are believed to have originated in Sweden and were introduced to the United States by Swedish immigrants in the 18th century.

In a mixing bowl, combine the dough, butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Roll out the dough into a rectangle shape.

Sprinkle raisins evenly over the dough.

Roll up the dough tightly from the long side.

Cut the rolled dough into 12 equal slices.

Place the slices in a greased baking dish.

Cover and let the rolls rest for 1 hour.

In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze.
