Ingredients
  • 200 gram Butter
  • 200 gram Granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Water
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 100 gram Chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the sugar, water, vanilla extract, and salt to the saucepan.
  4. Stir continuously until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture comes to a boil.
  5. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reaches 300°F (150°C) on a candy thermometer.
  6. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the chopped nuts (if using).
  7. Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it out evenly.
  8. Allow the toffee to cool and harden for about 1 hour.
  9. Once hardened, break the toffee into bite-sized pieces.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
