Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).

Crush the chocolate cookies and mix with melted butter.

Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Melt the semi-sweet chocolate and mix with heavy cream.

Pour the chocolate mixture into the cream cheese mixture and mix well.

Pour the mixture over the crust in the springform pan.

Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the center is set.

Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour.

Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
